Underage Drunk Driver Kills Family in Winchester | Virginia DUI Attorney

June 26, 2011 – Virginia State Police reported that 20-year-old Steven Andrew Boyce was allegedly intoxicated when he was driving his 1985 Chevrolet pickup and struck a 1994 Jeep Cherokee near the intersection of U.S. 11 and Interstate 81 in Winchester, Virginia at 11:00 a.m. Sunday morning killing the Roe family. The Jeep Cherokee occupied by the Roe Family, Amanda 31, Mark, 49, Tyler, 4, and Caleb, 11, was stopped and waiting at a red light when Boyce rear ended them at a high rate of speed. The gas tank on the Cherokee ruptured during the violent collision and burst into flames killing the Roe family inside.

Apparently Steven Andrew Boyce is no stranger to the law as earlier this month he was arrested for underage possession of alcohol and for assault.

As a result of this accident, Boyce has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, DUI and underage possession of alcohol.
