Virginia Needs Stricter Drunk Driving Laws | Manassas DWI Attorney
Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety announced on January 11, 2009, their state highway safety rankings based on the number of the 15 highway safety laws the organization has deemed required and enforced for optimal highway safety that each state has adopted. Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety gave Virginia the worst highway safety law rating and was found to not have three key drunk driving laws for safer roads to include:
The Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety reports that having their proposed traffic laws in place will have a significant impact on improving the safety of our nation’s roads. They further demand that state legislatures and Congress take action to establish and enforce such traffic laws in an effort to save lives on the road.
Timing is everything, and the time is right to increase the pressure on states to act urgently to pass these lifesaving laws this year.
